The history of rose gold – a warm classic through the ages
Rose gold has its roots in 19th-century Russia, where it first became known as “Russian gold” due to its characteristically warm hue. By mixing pure gold with copper, goldsmiths created a new, romantic alloy that quickly became popular with royalty and aristocracy.
Today, rose gold symbolizes the perfect balance between tradition and modernity – a softer, warmer interpretation of classic elegance. Its subtle tone reflects both emotion and refinement, making it a beloved choice for engagement rings and jewelry worn close to the heart.
Properties & color – soft glow and lasting heat
Rose gold is distinguished by its soft, warm tone – a harmonious blend of pure gold and copper that gives the metal its distinctive pink sheen. The color varies from light champagne to deeper rosé depending on the copper content, but regardless of the shade, rose gold always retains its soft and timeless character.
At JBH Diamonds, we use exclusively 18K recycled gold in our standard range, where 75% of the metal consists of pure gold. For special orders, we also offer 14K rose gold , which provides a slightly stronger and more durable alloy. The result is a piece of jewelry that combines durability, beauty and feel - created for generations.

Craftsmanship – Italian precision with responsibility and passion
Every piece of rose gold jewelry from JBH Diamonds is made in Italy, where tradition and innovation come together in perfect craftsmanship. Our goldsmiths shape, cut and polish each detail by hand until the metal acquires its silky, warm luster. It is a work that requires both skill and patience – and which gives each piece of jewelry its unique soul.
We use over 80% recycled gold in all our manufacturing. This makes our jewelry more than just beautiful objects – it becomes part of a conscious future. This is how we interpret sustainable luxury – where every JBH jewelry combines feeling, responsibility and timeless elegance.
Care & maintenance – preserving the glow of rose gold
Rose gold is known for its durability and natural warmth, but like all exclusive metals, it deserves care. To preserve its luster, we recommend storing the jewelry separately in its JBH packaging when not in use and keeping it away from harsh cleaners, chemicals and perfumes.
Over time, rose gold develops an even softer tone – a natural patina that many see as part of its charm. If you prefer the original shine, our goldsmiths can easily restore the surface with a professional polish.
With proper care, both the luster and symbolism of your jewelry are preserved – a reflection of love, craftsmanship and lasting beauty.
